How does biteful decide if a food is good or bad?
We run your scan through a large language model that cross-references peer-reviewed research from PubMed. Every verdict comes with citations you can tap to read the original studies.
Is my photo stored anywhere?
Photos are processed and discarded. We don't store your images on any server. Scan history lives on your device only.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then biteful. You can cancel anytime — your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period.
I bought Lifetime but it's not showing as Pro.
Try tapping "Restore Purchases" on the paywall screen. If that doesn't work, email us with your Apple ID and we'll sort it out.
Can I use biteful without an internet connection?
You need a connection to scan new foods (the AI analysis happens in real time). Browsing your past scan history works offline.
Does biteful give medical advice?
No. biteful is for informational use only. It surfaces research to help you make more informed choices, but it's not a substitute for professional medical advice.
